maison Kallis

Description
maison Kallis, a high end exclusive brand of switches and sockets.
Creation and development of the brand and the products from scratch.

InkJoy Gel

Description
Design and development of the new InkJoy Gel pen that dries up to 3 times faster over competitors offering resulting in reduced smearing while writing. With the sharpened brand positioning the design had to communicate the joyful and light-hearted spirit of the brand.
The design has set a new style direction for the Paper Mate InkJoy brand and the design language is being applied and rolled out over several products.
The design caused sales to increase from 10M to 50M.

Niko Toggle and Rocker

Description
Lead role for the design and development of a new range of toggle and rocker switch for Niko. While maintaining the key component of a switch, a new design with a premium position has been created.

Yankee Candle Pop Up

Description
Project assigned by a senior executive with the goal to modernize the presence of Yankee Candle and to bring two teams together around one brand.
Using the 5E framework we’ve defined and designed an entire pop-up experience, created the brief for execution and celebrated the opening of the pop up on 503 Broadway, NY.

Sharpie Pro

Description
Redesign of the Sharpie marker for the professional and DIY consumer making it a better product for the user and make it a stringer fit within the brand positioning.
Based on observations the design contains several features to make this marker the preferred choice for the professional. The marker is loaded with an ink that even writes through wet and oily surfaces.

DYMO Scales

Description
Redesign of the shipping scales portfolio that was acquired by Dymo in line with the defined design language and brand positioning. The portfolio comprises of 3 scales for the office environment and 2 scales for the warehouse environment both with improved interaction features around improving readability and visibility of the display.

DYMO LabelManager PnP

Description
Design for a computer connected label printer and software with the focus on fast and simple label creation. The design and experience of the product got rewarded by a Red dot design award and did allow Dymo to regain market share from competition.

DYMO Strategy

Description
While working and growing the team for Dymo, we got involved in more strategic efforts like the creation of a brand and user inspired design language and a bold vision to move Dymo into a future for identification beyond just the label.

DYMO XTL

Description
Upgrade of the professional label printing range with high focus on the electrical installer. Printer, label software and label cartridge was entirely redesigned with the user in mind.

InkJoy Liquid

Description
Fast paced design project to add the favorite liquid writing system in the portfolio launch of Paper Mate InkJoy in China. The product took the design cues from InkJoy Gel and put more emphasis on the enjoyable character using a caramel drip inspired cap.

Heart of Life

Description
Per request of senior executives Heart of Life explores and creates a vision for a direct to consumer online platform with the focus to drive value for both the user and Newell.
Value for the user is created through unique experiences, unique offerings and imaginative marketing. Value for Newell is created by creating an extended DTC e-commerce platforn, data collection and the opportunity to tell the story of Newell.
The project was a close collaboration with the eComm team and got highlighted by the CEO of Newell Brands in investor calls and various internal meetings.

Voice Activated Coffee Maker

Description
With the booming popularity of voice assistants in mind, this projects envisions and defines the user value of voice interaction for Mr.Coffee.
During the project the team created a framework to map and define the level of voice interaction complexities in relation to the brand. Given the brand values the project focused on easy and simple levels of activation to improve the overall user experience in creating a cup of coffee.
Using an experience journey map valuable scenario’s have been selected to demonstrate the value of voice interaction using a demo prototype.

Paper Mate | Make it Click

Description
This project is an exploration of what pen customization for Paper Mate could be. Users can choose two part of the pen to their liking. Once they choose 2 times a regular ballpoint, a gel or a felt tip pen in the color they want, the unique and engaging click mechanism makes it into a full length pen allowing you to write as you are, wherever you are.
This modular approach allows the platform to be extended in other categories and is ideal to even make a more premium pen design.

Paper Mate Vision

Description
This project happened in close collaboration with the brand team and focused on the creation and visualization of a brand and design vision for Paper Mate including two sub brands.

Connected Values

Description
Using the growing market of smart homes, the project focuses on defining what drives value for our users in this connected environment and envisions multiple scenarios for Newell to respond on this evolution.
The connected and smart home is now one of the key priorities for Newell to work on.

Expo Vision

Description
Based on user insights, brand positioning and manufacturing capabilities this project envisioned a future and refreshed product offering for Expo.

Youth Art

Description
Creation of a coherent vision for a cluttered youth art market in Latin America. The project inspired a refresh of the Newell offering in Latin America.
